Idyll-on-the-Island is a one bedroom, one and a half bath vacation rental condo with an AMAZING LOCATION in Saint Simons Island, GA (area map), sleeps up to 5 people, has 1135 sq ft of living space (on two levels), with a 160 sq ft porch, and 357 sq ft garage. LOCATION, Location, Location: Idyll-on-the-Island is blessed with a fabulous location in the heart of the village/pier area — you can walk to most everything — close to amazing restaurants, great shopping, oceanside Neptune Park, the lighthouse, the theater, the library, and festival grounds. Within a block of the water! Or just sit back and relax on the porch and enjoy the weather and the view.

Renting/Rates: Rates range from $195 a night. Review the Sample Lease and Sample Dog Addendum and Contact us when you are ready to book, or if you have questions.

Photos / Virtual Tour: We have posted still photos and an interactive high-definition virtual tour of the condo and surrounding community. You can zoom into each room and see incredible detail.

Pet Friendly: As with all of our rental properties, well-behaved dogs are welcome at Idyll-on-the-Island.

Community Pool / Waterpark Update: The new community waterpark complex opened in May 2009. Very nice new facility just across the street. Rates and more info.

BEACH RULES for Glynn County (from a Glynn County 2005 Publication; See also Neptune Park Beach Access #7 Sign):

Please Use a Beach Trash Receptacle or Carry Your Trash Off the Beach to a Dumpster
No littering, No Glass Containers, No Motorized Vehicles
If your animal leaves more than prints in the sand, you must pick it up and dispose of it in a trash receptacle!
Dogs are prohibited on the beach from 9am to 6pm, the Saturday of Memorial Day through Labor Day (so allowed before 9am and after 6pm; and allowed any time Labor day through Memorial Day).
Dogs are allowed on the beach anytime from beach access #1, Wyley St., to beach access #6, Floyd St. (both just west of the pier; see map).

FLETC: Please contact us if you are with FLETC and need a several week or several month rental.

Exhibitors: Are you an exhibitor or craftsman or artist or dealer and are looking for accommodations, lodging or a place to stay for a festival such as the Sunshine Festival, one of the wonderful Antiques Shows, Arts and Crafts Festival, the Sea Island Festival, or any of the other festivals held in Neptune Park? Idyll-on-the-Island is literally across the street from the festival. You can't ask for a more convenient or comfortable place to stay!

Updates: During the late summer / fall of 2018, the entire condo completely redone! The kitchen and bathrooms were gutted and totally redone floor to ceiling.
